Clay Club ceramics workshop: Thursday 10th of April and Thursday 1st of May, 7.30pm

I would like to invite you to come play with clay in the studio! Come try your hand at making a mug, candle holder, wall ornament or anything else you can think of.  

This workshop consists of 2 sessions, as your work will need to dry and get fired in the kiln before you can glaze it 3 weeks later. During the first workshop I will teach you how to handbuild with clay, showing you the most important techniques and helping you to get your work ready for the kiln. After the clay has dried enough, I will fire your work for you. In the second session we will glaze our work with colourful glazes. Then the work gets fired again and you can pick up your very own ceramic item the week after the workshop.

The workshop takes place at my studio in Amsterdam West, at Krelis Louwenstraat 1. Both sessions take about 2 to 2,5 hours. 

To make sure I can fire everything in one firing, there are only 6 available spots. You will be able to make 1 to 2 mugs, candle holders, bowls, wall ornaments or whatever you can think of! Because plates and bowls take up quite some space in the kiln you can only make 1 plate or bowl with a maximum diameter of 18cm.
