Modern Calligraphy for beginners – Sunday 13th of April 2025, 2pm

Come learn Modern Calligraphy with me! In this 2,5 hour workshop I will take you through the most important techniques of pointed pen calligraphy. I will show you all the best materials and teach you how to make your own card. You will learn the entire alphabet in modern calligraphy AND you get to take home all the materials so you can continue your practice at home. 

Included in the workshop are:

• The Oh Pretty Paper Modern Calligraphy workbook
• 2 nibs
• 2 nibholders: 1 straight, 1 oblique
•  A jar of Sumi ink
• Drinks and snacks!

The workshop takes place at my studio at Krelis Louwenstraat 1 in Amsterdam, from 2pm until 4.30pm. There are 12 seats available per workshop. Sign up by selecting the number of seats you would like to reserve below. After your payment comes through you will receive all the details about the workshop, how to get to the studio and where to park if you’re coming by car. There’s a minimum of 6 attendees, should not enough people sign up for the workshop I will contact you the week before to reschedule.

The workshop will most likely be taught in English, unless all attendees speak Dutch. Of course there is always room for individual explanations in Dutch.
